The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission is proud to announce the recent completion of the Federal Aviation Administration’s annual airfield safety inspection at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. The FAA’s airport certification and safety inspector found zero violations at ROA and commended airport staff for effective day-to-day operations.
"Safety and security at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport are the Commission’s highest priority," Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport Executive Director, Tim Bradshaw, AAAE, said. "The entire RRAC team is to be congratulated for once again doing such an exemplary job to ensure the highest level of safety for travelers and employees."
The annual FAA inspection reviews an airport's compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 which includes airfield operations, pavement and signage, lighting, markings, inspection reports, fueling operations, and emergency response and preparedness.
ROA achieved a perfect score from the FAA with no discrepancies.
