Competently, safely and fully serving the needs of private and business aircraft owners and operators has long been a goal of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission. Over the past decade, nearly $10,000,000 has been invested in the general aviation area of the airport for improved drainage, rehabilitated tie-down/parking areas and renovated taxilanes. During that time one 18,000 square foot and two 4,800 square foot aircraft storage hangars were constructed by and have been added to the Commission’s facility inventory. This significant investment is intended to benefit not only the approximately 99 aircraft which call ROA home base, but also the thousands of businesses and visitors who fly to ROA from throughout the country and the world.
ROA’s general aviation services include a full-service Fixed Base Operator, providing fuel, open 24/7, and two specialty FBO service providers offering services ranging from aircraft and engine maintenance and repair to aircraft charter services and flight training.
