Roanoke VA., September 10, 2021 – The week of September 13-17 the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport will be conducting aircraft rescue and firefighting live burn training.
The Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport Public Safety Office will conduct live burn training using an aircraft rescue training simulator. The live burn schedule is as follows:
September 13, 14, 16 and 17: 8am-12pm
September 15: 8am-12pm and 6pm-10pm
The training programs will take place in secured areas. If you are interested in covering the training event, please schedule a time so that staff can direct and escort you to the training.
The training will not affect flights arriving or departing from the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
