Routine maintenance and cleaning of the Airport Road tunnel in Roanoke will begin Monday, Aug. 26, and is anticipated to run through Friday, Aug. 30.

Maintenance activities will occur from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and one lane will be closed. One lane will remain open to traffic throughout and will be managed by an automated traffic light system.

Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternative routes. Signage is currently in place.
